TANNER TO TAKE OVER AT PARKERSBURG SOUTH
PARKERSBURG (WTAP)--Parkersburg South has found has found a new head coach to take over the Patriots football program.
Nathan Tanner has been recommended for the position by South's Athletic Director Roger Thompson.
Tanner's name will be submitted to the Wood County Board of Education for it's approval in Tuesday's meeting.
He will take over for Mike eddy, who stepped down earlier this year to take the head coaching job at Logan high school in Ohio.
Tanner is a native of Pearisburg Virginia. He was an oustanding high school football player and went on to play his college football at Concord College
He was head coach at Summers County High School in West Virginia. Tanner ejoyed success, taking his team to the playoffs 3 out of the 4 years in his head coaching tenure.
Tanner has spent the last 2 seasons as head coach at Martinsville High School in Virginia, taking his team to the playoffs once.
He'll take over a Patriots team that made it to the playoffs this season.
